HAZMAT Training - FAA Deadline is Coming Up

E-mail Print

The FAA has set an August 20, 2010 deadline for all repair stations to certify hazmat training. There are many hidden hazards in aircraft parts, so hazmat training is useful for any company handling aircraft parts, including distributors, air carriers and repair stations. Hazmat training for the aviation industry will be coming to South Florida on May 19-20 and will be held at the Miramar Hilton Garden Inn. This class is offered jointly by AEA, ARSA and ASA. The instructor will be providing a sample letter to aid in complying with the FAA class certification requirement.

The registration fee includes all of the references you need to ship hazmat in compliance, including the IATA book and selections from the US regulations. You can find more information online, including registration, information at http://www.dangerousgoods.net
